It was jarring when elder people called me sir when I was a kid. It felt like I did something wrong.
Now as a grown person, getting called sir by anybody at all doesn’t affect me in the slightest. I stopped caring what people think of me, unless they say bad things about me. Only then, it’d be a matter of being verbally attacked and I might have to defend myself.
