@BigGuy2 Nice sounding places in foreign lands. Does the money reach the poor, or does it be used for arms. We never know. Accountants and lawyers have their take.

There are one hundred thousand homeless families in the UK. Child povert abounds. Our hospital waiting lists are beyond.

Yes, give donations to disaster funds. Yes, give money to the refugee camps.

@sunriselover 70% of these street donations are taken up by 'Admin' meaning wages etc etc, before any, IF ANY, gets to the needy

@BigGuy2 But having said that, you have some control over what you give to local charities.

Food banks, hospices, support for disabled children, night shelters.
