I've noticed there has been an increase in the number of Charity ads on telly recently (Water aid, etc, Donkey Aid, etc).

As far as tax is concerned, it is not exactly rocket science that those who benefit the most from taz cuts are those at the wealthiest end.

@jackieash if you are in the USA all those charities may have a common source. I have noticed the way they use the word “Suffering” and draw it out like “Suffffering” to make the ad more emotional. It can be aid to people in foreign countries or a dog rescue charity showing shivering dogs. The actors in those ads seem fake as hell to me the way they whimper etc.

@cherokeepatti I get what you mean. There is a specific tone of voice used in the ads, too. For the same reason you stated.

@jackieash You probably know those ads very well then. They tend to play in the evenings on shows that old people watch such as western shows etc. Going after those who are retired and might be lonely and sitting on a retirement savings. Just like the big TV preachers have done. Manipulating them emotionally to part with their money is all. I feed a couple feral cats, am doing my part by helping locally. Have caught some ferals and took them to be neutered and either adopted or released back into the neighborhood. If they are tame enough for me to catch then they are adoptable. They didn’t come back so the outcome was good.

And why these people can’t help their own instead of appealing to Christians using guilt from things that happened decades ago is beyond me. They have enough money to provide the simple foods they are showing that need to be purchased, It’s pure BS to spend milliions of $$ on ads to ask for this.
@jackieash Yes, you have nailed it.

It’s a way for the rich to funnel their taxes.
It’s a means for them to grow richer. They need the underclass to do that, who are just commodities, to be used and thrown away.

@jackieash

What do charities have to do with tax cuts?
jackieash · 26-30
@sladejr They were both in the OP.
