The days of the good Samaritan are over. It was a beautiful sunny day here today and a lot of people took advantage and hung their washing out to dry
I noticed that the lovely 50 something lady next door doing just that then heading out to the shops. You can imagine my horror when I heard the weatherman on the radio saying that we may have shower sometime over the next 2 days. Well, clearly I did not want this woman's toil to go to waste so I decided to rescue her washing from ruination.
Quick as a flash, I rushed out to save this lady's washing from the light shower that was prophesised by the weatherman, unfortunately there was so much I could only grab the smaller items which I stuffed inside my cardigan (to keep dry) and rushed back to my abode.
I then took the items to the warmest room in my house, my bedroom and decided to put them under my mattress (to iron them).
You can imagine my horror when this said lady turned up at my door with several other female neighbours. They seemed very angry and were accusing me of stealing their underwear from the washing lines and then she assaulted me and said she had better have her knickers back in the next 2 minutes or she was going to get her brothers round to give me a good seeing to. I tried to inform her that hey had not been properly ironed yet but this just made her even more angry.
Sorry, TLDR but I just wanted you to know my predicament...I know you will be on my side but what should I do?
