I have always loved good burgers but I have never been a fan of Maccie D's. Flame-grilled Burger King's are marginally better. My weakness in fast food is KFC original pieces on the bone,

@ArtieKat Yes I prefer them as well and the chicken wraps are nice.
Five guys are a bit pricey but nice burgers. There are a few restaurants around Yorkshire where I have had really good burgers so always try to remember.

@happygoluckygal I wasn't very impressed by Five Guys to be honest

@ArtieKat Me neither, I had to wait a long time and it wasn't that good. It was also expensive.

@ArtieKat Do u do your own burgers, we sometimes do that.
Apart from that it will be haggis evening very very soon😊

@happygoluckygal I haven't made made my own recently but I used to have a burger press - not sure what happened to that. Haggis sounds good. I used to stay at a small hotel in Dundee which did very traditional Scottish food in the restaurant - lots of game like grouse and pheasant in rich sauces

@ArtieKat I love broth, but can't even stand the smell of Whiskey. I hope your experiences of Scotland were good.
Did you ever try sweetheart stout as my family always take some back. It's actually fairly sweet and nice to drink.

Nobody was brewing lo-alcohol beer last time I was in Scotland. It was all "a pin' o' heavy!"
happygoluckygal · F
@ArtieKat There you go then, I really don't like it lol
happygoluckygal · F
@ArtieKat Not sure what that is, maybe export.
My grandad speaks of black and tan which I think was half beer and half stout.

@happygoluckygal I didn't really acquire a taste for whisky until I was in my 30s. I have found a very reasonable Malt at my local cash & carry.

@ArtieKat There is actually a river Spey so I guess it's brewed near there.
I don't think I could drink much alcohol so won't try🙂

@ArtieKat Extra crispy thighs for me, as well as their tenders, I wish they'd bring the twister wraps back, their honey mustard ones were addicting.
