I had sleep paralysis nearly every day for two months some years ago. It stopped once I realized something.
When I’d attempted to call my sister, who I shared a room with, for help, the “thing” in the room would say her name repeatedly in a creepy voice while I was unable to speak. When I imagined spreading wings and attacking the thing, I could feel it’s fear of me. When the thing or things would jump on my back, I’d wake to remember seeing my own back.
I realized that the “thing” was me. That’s why it said my words and I could feel what it felt, and I remembered seeing my own back from its perspective. After I realized that, the sleep paralysis stopped except for one other time more recently.
