Just came across the most shocking nonsense I've ever heard coming from a man

He's asked a question. If you hear a noise downstairs and you're a family man, who's going downstairs? He said nobody because his duty is not to protect but survive.

His sentiment is we're all equal, the womans life is not more valuable than the man's and a man shouldnt have to step in front of a bullet to protect a woman. Ridiculous, because we're not just talking about a random woman, we're talking about your wife, but it gets worse. He couldn't even answer when asked what if it's your kids you need to take a bullet for? .

Friggin horrendous.

But he's right, it should not be expected that you should put yourself in danger for somebody else just because they are female, that's sexist. If he chooses to do it that is his prerogative and it appears the man in question exercised those rights.

@GeniUs That's his wife and kids. Yes he is expected to put his life on the line for them. These aren't some random people

@SW-User putting the kids aside (assuming they aren't old enough to defend themselves), it should not be expected that one person in a couple should put their safety at risk based on their genders.

@GeniUs I agree. Partners should work together for the benefit of both.

@Sharon It is working together for one to go investigate while the other gathers the children to safety and calls the police...

That's right but it's not necessarily better for the man to go and investigate nor for the woman to gather the children to safety.

@Sharon It's a man's duty to do so. Even if the woman Is capable, it helps in the instance the man is not around then hopefully she can defend herself and get to safety but if the man is around he should assume the role of protector. Any father would be disappointed to know his daughter is married to a man that would allow her to put herself at risk like that.

@SW-User That's a very sexist viewpoint. :( I would never consider a relationship with a sexist like you. I prefer a man who respects me as an equal.

@Sharon You speak as though I'd consider a relationship with you. Why? Because you have a vagina? As much as I'd need to meet your standards as a man you'd need to meet mine as a women and it would take more than just you having boobs

That's why I really like my partner, all I'd have to do is say 'I think there's somebody down stairs' and she would find a weapon and have my back. I've been married to people who would hide or complain I'd woken them up!
@GeniUs My wife is like yours. We look out for each other.
