When women say "it meant nothing" when caught cheating. Is that supposed to mean something?

What I hear is our relationship meant so little to you that you were willing to jeopardise it over nothing.

*Not a situation I'm in, just something I've observed.

@SW-User More common for me to hear women say it. Even on a recent discussion on radio, the women callers lamented how men don't forgive cheating as easily as women. One after the other, "it meant nothing, it was just the one time". Sure, that makes it so much better.

@SW-User Lots of men have their excuses and justifications too. And they will cheat but not forgive the woman if she does. Sounds hypocritical.

@SW-User My friend, with all due respect this question is about women not men. There are plenty questions on here about men and their wrong doings. Im looking to understand the thought process when it's a woman at fault.
