Our attitudes towards each other is definitely driven more by who we consider part of our tribe than it is by any sense of progress making it easier. We have more vacant homes than we have homeless families in much of the US. We've solved the resource constraint. But until we realize that we are all of us one family, the humane element remains unsolved.
