Should I report annoying neighbors next door who turn the hallway into a playground blocking the way?

I was trying to be considerate since they have a toddler, a noisy one, but I seem to reach my limit now. With covid it is just not allowed here for little kids to go outside to any nearby parks to play, so they use the hallway in front of their doorway which is next to mine, like five steps close. To make it even worse, neither the toddler nor the parents wear any facemasks.

I can see how that would be annoying, and also potentially hazardous if they're leaving toys in the common area that you could possibly trip on.

@NotJamieM Yes, these neighbors are lacking consideration. They treat the hallway as an extension to their living room.

@TessDun apartment living is bad enough anyway. If you have someone above you, you can hear them walk around all night, and nevermind what you can hear with a thin shared wall

@NotJamieM Noise above is not so distracting as it is a condo unit. But noise in the hallway echoed and reflected easily so it is really annoying when someone screams at random times

@TessDun yeah, that's totally understandable. When I used to live in apartments I always went for the upper level. You don't have to listen to people above you and it's harder to break in or see in the window, lol. But condos are better. I'd probably lodge a complaint as that sounds really annoying and gets in the way of your quiet enjoyment of your own space

@NotJamieM I wis I had the option to transfer. 😟I did not think what kind neighbors I’d have since my experience from other units was just fine. This one is the worst.

@TessDun I was in an apartment once where the people next door (1) had way too many people in there, and (2) used their "outside voices" whenever they were talking. I used to throw my sneakers against the comments n wall, lol

@NotJamieM I feel you. Were you able to talk it through? I bet it would be hard to stay calm with them. And the noise becomes louder when they keep the door open.

@TessDun haha, I wouldn't say we talked it out but they got the point eventually. We would see them and just glare. I can't stand inconsiderate people

@NotJamieM Same here😒

@TessDun it makes you almost want to do annoying things back, lol

@NotJamieM Well I hope you did. I cannot set up a playground , but whenever my brother’s family comes over, I keep the door open and talk at the top of our lungs, to make them hear what I always hear, yes I am guilty of that now. These neighbors make me forget my manners.
