Hopes and Dreams

The moon is going down
For the sun to rise again
The dawn, shattering the dark web
Of the tangled misery

Will this first ray of light be my hope
To kill the pause within me
Or will this be another day passing by
With nothing to gain and lots to lose

Only the path brightened in the light
Will tell me the way to walk
What pebbles to skip, what pits to jump over
Taking me to my destiny

With the light shining bright
I'll conquer this misery
To celebrate and look back into
My journey, from afar!
