Some insight for you

If I take the time to do something dumb and cute like text you in letter format, with the “dear”, body including several questions and wishes, ending it with “love, my name” and add a postscript about something we might do later, not only will I be very disappointed if you don’t write back in a similar format, I will pretend I can’t read your one sentence message with a laughing emoji, no matter how fond I am of you.

Perhaps they aren't that into details like those.
And that's why they simply smile or laughing face . Different people different tastes different reactions.

@SW-User I understand some people aren’t, but they have been in the past.

@itsok well in the beginning people are way nicer. Maybe now things are different maybe didn't even noticed, and was more focused on the message, didn't know what to tell you, or is becoming aloof. Lots of reasons could be.
