Entry into National parks should be free of charge. When you consider how valuable tourism is for local business the government should be into supporting tourists not keep them away. Considering the vast distances you will cover to get to these places look at how much your fuel costs is going into tax. Diesel is around $1:80 a litre in Australia and thats in the city. Just like everything else here (Australia)it's expensive.

@SW-User I have written to Parks and Wildlife Plus the State Government about this very issue. People are being locked out of much of the beauty of this country. These sites should have been left in their natural state.
I received a reply from the Parks service saying the fees cover the cost of infrastructure etc. Some parks have a couple of picnic benches. No toilets, no bins. Simply another way to fleece the public

@Gusman Good on you mate.The more people we have writing to governments and departments to let them know we are not happy the more likely something may be done.
