So, where should I move to?

Next year I'm selling my house, packing up and moving. I have two states I'm thinking of moving to. Washington and Pennsylvania. Well, maybe three... also thinking maybe Wisconson.

Now, for those of you living in any of those states, what cities do you recommend? Why do you recommend them? Small towns and larger cities are both being considered.

Portland, Oregon is the most beautiful city in the world. But...you'd have to tolerate a lot of rain.

@greenmountaingal I have though of Oregon, and you are right, Portland (travel through there a couple of times) is a beautiful city.

@frequentlyme It is also a good city in terms of culture, city services, friendly sensible people, transportation, no sales tax in Oregon. Of course, you can live right across the Columbia in Washington and be suburban to Portland.
