When I was a kid I always wished I belonged to an esthetically pleasing religion with cool iconography and weird rituals

I had a friend who was fascinated that I was Catholic, and said "most African Americans were Protestant"(like she was). We watched the British tv show "Cadfael" on public tv together, and she said the music made her think it would fit if Catholicism had a soundtrack…
