@Human1000 oh thank goodness. I'm not sure about the requirements and rules to make it stick to her permanent record.

@Lilliesandlight Glad to help…any company rules broken? Any HR? I have to sit down for dinner, but it’s what I do. You can start by just writing down what happened. Be specific. Use dates. Reference prior conversations. I’ll be back on later.

And yes, many templates on line. Good place to start.

@Human1000 cool, thanks!
@Lilliesandlight be sure you don't pay him in advance. Sometimes people would ask for money in advance and you never get help. You get blocked

@mysteryespresso no one asked me for money? 🤷
Human1000 · M
@Lilliesandlight Was that for me? Lol. No money.

@Human1000 I didn't think you were going to charge me, lol 😂

@Lilliesandlight Of course! If I can help please me know.

@Human1000 well what is the usual process and rules? I'm worried that if I don't do this right they will say it wont count as a formal write up.

@Lilliesandlight Well, not sure what your company’s rules are for it to be “formal.” This is called “progressive discipline.” Do you have an HR?
Lilliesandlight · 41-45, F
@Human1000 it's complicated. The practice is privately owned but it's part of a major medical group. So everything is supposed to go through the office manager. But there is corporate involved too. What makes it more complicated is that the employee is also a patient. And the doctor is currently treating her for ADHD.

@Lilliesandlight Oh, this is complicated. It’s hard to advise without a conversation which we aren’t going to do, so I suggest you don’t go outside the normal process. Do you have access to local counsel?

There are disability implications with the ADHD.
Lilliesandlight · 41-45, F
@Human1000 what implications? Is it pointless to write her up because of this?
Human1000 · M
@Lilliesandlight Disability discrimination…my advice? Whatever you do make sure it’s approved.
