Serious math question

A train leaving Chicago at 8:45 am local Chicago time is headed for it's final destination of Las Vegas, 1750 miles away. Assuming it's in a straight line, and accounting for three 2 hour stops at random intervals. The train takes 3 miles to achieve a top speed of 50mph, in which it accelerates at constant a constant velocity, and takes 5 miles to come to a dead stop in which is decelerates at a constant rate. Explain why your mom refuses to call me back. Note your findings in the comments below

It’s 1747 miles and not exactly straight. They won’t stop for 2 hours anywhere unless the train hits a vehicle or pedestrian. If they stop in a city then you could get off the train and go find something affordable to eat rather than rely on train food for meals. My mom is dead so she don't call anyone. Maybe you have me confused with someone else.
