Teirdalin · 31-35
Male, sun elf, Sorcerer.
@Teirdalin

Teirdalin had always been one of the most gifted students at the Arcanist Academy, mastering spells faster than students who had spent their entire lives surrounded by tutors and wealth. But talent did not erase the fact that he came from a common family. A jealous noble-born student used his influence to turn others against him, eventually framing Teirdalin for breaking academy rules. Despite his ability, Teirdalin was expelled and left with little more than his robes, a few possessions, and his magic.

Not long after leaving the academy, he was traveling alone when something struck him hard from behind. The last thing he remembered was hearing rough voices laughing before everything went black.

Teirdalin wakes on the cold stone floor of a crude iron cage. His head throbs where the goblins struck him, and his belongings, including his arcane focus, are gone. A torch burns somewhere beyond the bars, and faint goblin voices echo from deeper within the dungeon.

What does Teirdalin do?

1) Inspect the cage — Quietly examine the lock, hinges, bars, and surrounding floor for a weakness or something he can use to escape.

2) Test his magic — See what magic he can still summon without his stolen equipment and attempt to manipulate or damage the cage without alerting the goblins.

3) Play unconscious — Remain on the floor and wait for a goblin to return, hoping to overhear something useful or lure the key within reach.

@V00dooLovesTheMoon

V00doo is a Dragonborn Wildcaller from an old and secluded tribe, raised around traditions that predate most written magic. She has always felt a particularly strong connection to the moon, believing its changing phases influence nature, instinct, and the older forms of magic she practices.

Although she remains loyal to her tribe, V00doo often disappears into the wilderness for days or even weeks at a time. Solitude gives her the quiet she needs to perform rituals, study the natural world, and live without interruption. That independence usually keeps her safe, but this time it worked against her. No one knew exactly where she had gone when a group of goblins caught her alone. She remembers the sound of movement behind her, a sudden blow to the head, and then darkness.

V00doo wakes on the damp stone floor of a small underground chamber. Her head aches, her weapons and belongings are gone, and a crude iron door separates her from the corridor outside. Faint torchlight slips through the bars, accompanied by distant goblin voices. She has no idea that another prisoner is being held elsewhere in the same cave.

What does V00doo do?
1. Reach out to nature — Feel for animals, roots, insects, water, or anything living within the cave that might reveal where she is or provide a way out.

2. Test the chamber — Examine the door, walls, floor, and ceiling for weaknesses while searching for anything that could serve as a weapon or tool.

3. Begin an old ritual — Quietly call upon her moon-bound magic, risking the goblins noticing something unusual but potentially gaining an advantage before they return.
