I buy raffle tickets from time to time [I Don't Like Competition]
Though I have never won anything buying them.
The only two times I won something was in 1979 when I attended the VFL Grand Final when 112,000 people attended.
Lucky seat numbers were called out and I was one of them.
I won a six pack of Coca-Cola in a small soft esky, some stickers, a cap and other sundry items.
The second thing I won was in 1992, listening to the local radio, one was given the opportunity to ring the station and win a CD. I managed to be the 9th? caller and won a Bette Midler CD🙄
One never hears about the winners of cars from raffles, though they do say that the winners names will be published in the Notices section of the newspaper.
