.10..
Don't understand the .05 answer
@HotPizza71 if the ball were £0.10 and the bat were £1.00 more, that would make the bat £1.10 and the set £1.20.

@NerdyPotato so ball costs 5 cents,and the bats a dollar more,thats still only 1.05...
@HotPizza71 that makes the bat 1.05 indeed. Together with the 5 cent ball, makes 1.10 in total.
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
@NerdyPotato 5 cents plus one equals 1.05..
That's One dollar more..Still makes no sense to me
Thought I was good at maths too!
@HotPizza71 the bat is a dollar more than the ball, so 1.05 is the price of the bat alone. The question states that the bat and ball together are 1.10, so you still have to add the price of the ball to the price of the bat.

@NerdyPotato but the bat is£1.. not £1.05..
Still think it's an early April fools prank
So if you bought a ball for 5 cents,and then you bought a separate bat for £1.00 more you wouldn't pay £1.10...
@HotPizza71 no, the bat is £1 more than the ball.
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
@NerdyPotato yes so the balls 5 cents..plus 1 dollar more = £1.05.. that's £1 More 😝

@HotPizza71 Nowhere in the question did it say that the bat costs £1.
It costs £1 more than the ball and the total is £1.10..so the ball is 5p and the bat £1.05.
@HotPizza71 exactly, so the bat is 1.05. And then you also need to buy the ball for 0.05, for a total of 1.10.
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
@NerdyPotato hmmm 10 p plus £1 is 1.10.. which is £1 more than 10.. making the ball 10p
£1 ball
£.10 ball
That's a £1 more
£1.10 - £0.10p = £1.00..
Balls £0.10p
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@HotPizza71 £1 more than 5p is £1.05..add that to the cost of the ball at 5p and you get a total of £1.10p.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@HotPizza71 If the bat costs £1 more than the ball and you say the ball costs 10p..then the bat must cost £1.10..add that to the cost of the 10p ball ..total..£1.20 ..and that's wrong.
