@nightjourney count the letters that are in the bracket (the alphabet).
when they ask "How many letters are in the alphabet?" you only count these ----> "the alphabet"

@JudyS it's actually 7 as there are repeats and you have include -the- by the way the question is posed. -The alphabet- contains these letters t,h,e,a,l,p,b, the rest are repeats
