Amongst alternatives, dropping down immediately to fight the gators is probably his best bet. They'd certainly be less hard to kill than a full-grown lion, and if he doesn't get to the land soon, he'll have to fight them anyway. Besides, allowing the snake to bite is a roll of the dice, and based on his recent luck, I'd say that's tantamount to suicide.
If he can stun the gators, such as by gouging their eyes out, he can swim away. Alligators can't swim fast for a particularly great distance.
Just climb out to the end of the branch and jump to the shore that isn't in the picture. There's a nice little Cabana bar there too, so he can settle his nerves.
Nope. I mean he can call for those birds to lift him to safety but it’s going to take like 50 or so to lift him. I see only 10 birds in the distance and they seem to be flying away. Assuming those birds aren’t vultures which they would probably not help him.
