I bought some things at yard sales for $1 each and didn’t use them for years. A food mill for cooked tomatoes and apples was one of them, very good quality and made in Portugal. And an immersion blender. I didn’t use either one till I learned to make Tomato-Basil soup and use both to make it. Now I am using that immersion blender to smooth out other types of soup like the Leek & Potato soup I made a few days ago and gravies and sauces. Both were practically a steal and now so useful to me. I still have a manual noodle roller I haven’t used but will one day, especially for gluten-free noodles.
