Your favorite toys as a kid?

Mine were Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs and my roller skates.

Lincoln Logs were the real deal.

Yes,Mom probably did throw them out one fine spring day.

I had a capgun musket I was very fond of,complete with tricorner hat and a powder horn.
Then a bow and arrow ushered in the Robin Hood era...

Quite often a big cardboard box was a great toy.Fort,tank,spaceship-whatever the occasion called for. Thanks for bringing up this topic,I'm getting all reminiscent and fuzzy.
@dubkebab Thank YOU for the appreciation. I forgot about the large cardboard boxes. I wish I still had my Lincoln Logs. Wooden toys have become a rarity. Plastic has become a plague ruining our environment.

@Grateful4you Right. What was that quote from 'the Graduate'? "Plastics are the future..."?
And the legacy for the next dozen generations-if we have 'em.
I can envision a bug-eyed,many tentacled visitor in the distant future touching down on the Arizona shoreline to behold one of those squeeze bottle honey bears and ponder what mighty species must have left such a mysterious and awe inspiring legacy...
@dubkebab I never considered that quote but yes, I remember the scene distinctly. "One word, plastic" I'm actually glad for my age, I probably won't be here to see the end. The earth is already actively ridding itself of the poisons of "humanity" it will survive without us quite nicely.

Contrary to biblical belief, Mankind does NOT have dominion over the earth or it's animals and all other species.
