Would you consider cloning a beloved pet?

I wouldn't. It feels wrong and unnecessary to try to artificially recreate something unique and special. Especially when the world is full of pets looking for homes.

I was thinking about it today because I heard something about Tom Brady cloning his dog.

No, and for the same reasons you expressed. Even if I were in the financial position to do it, I wouldn't want to. Every animal companion I've been pretty much owned by has been a very unique being, and I don't believe cloning would 'reproduce' that aspect of them.
