Do you think the future of the internet will be dystopian?

back in 2005 I used me, my older siblings to sneak into my father's personal computer, plug into the internet and spend hours searching the catalog we had for the web cool websites, go into forums, visit chatrooms with cringe nicknames like moon's flower or knight of the desert lol

by 2009 youtube was the big hit, facebook groups were rising but we were mostly on msn and yahoo trying all the cool trends of the time, studying or just watching funny cat videos.
the era between 2009 and 2014 for me were the golden days of the internet
currently the internet advanced so much with cookies and algorithms that made people addicted to many concepts they don't even like, and here am i now, looking for calmer internet like sw while chatting with an AI ! never thought that would happen when i grow up but here we are.
