When I think of normal, I think of the people who probably don't struggle to get through the day, they can just live, call people when they need them, hold a job and overall function in society. Not that they aren't weird or quirky too, but they're normies. They wear the right clothes, say the right things, make the money and go with program.
I know when someone is actually weird when they're alone. Or in a different kind of pain. When they're creative in ways that people don't understand. Weird isn't just about being a human freak, it's about not being accepted by the general population.
If you went to one of my family gatherings where everyone only has shallow conversations, they have nice clothes and everything is in order, you'd see normal. Or at least trying to appear normal. Which to me makes them normies.
Weirdos are tired of trying to fit in.

@EldritchFox believe it or not I understand this ...I come from a family who are narcissistic and look the part , act the part , and mostly care about outward appearances...I didn't flow in that direction...I don't make six figures ...I don't step on others to make myself look better ....I will call out people for their b.s idc ....my mother being one of them and expecting me to do all the taking care of her while my brothers do nothing to help ....these people are so self absorbed it's rediculos anyway I'll stop there

@EldritchFox I think everyone struggles to some degree. It's when one doesn't get a break that it becomes quite difficult. And everyone has family struggles. Admittedly some are more strained than others. I think somehow you need to find your own comfort zone and let go of those that think they have a say. It's your space, your life. I wish you nothing but happiness and safety. 🫂
