Things the Darkness Brings

Inside the darkness I seem to do my most dark thinking.
Thinking that I'm sinking.
But all I really do is float.
Another buoy used as an anchor upon the endless seas of life.
Truth is but a beacon that some folk just can't see.
I feel free inside my cage.

Things are just things and meanings mean more than we should have expected.
But still the world rolls onward.
Dragging so many of us along unwillingly.
Like marbles we all roll around.
Right up until that moment that the wrong marble careens into us.
Sends us spinning and rolling right off the board.
Out of play and gone from the game.
Like all those crazy marbles that went off the board before us.............
