More DIY Stuff
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was working on making a wheelchair tray thing for myself and it started as a very simple and temporary one made of cardboard and we started working from there and this is how it looks like right now 👇
The little extension piece on, the front was added just 2 days ago. It's basically the same piece that was cut from the back side, it's screwed on with those golden screws and the lip where, both pieces lay on top of each other is intentional because it holds my laptop from slipping though the screw head on the right side is annoying and causes the laptop to slide all over the place. That issue didn't exist before the screws were added but it's not a big deal I'll just add stoppers with double-sided tape. Everytime I tilt the chair backwards the laptop just wants to hug me, I mean I can't blame him 👶
I also need a cup holder and then I maybe will think about changing the color or oiling the wood so it looks darker. I did look for cup holders yesterday but I didn't like what I found locally. I want one that can be closed when not in use or else it'd be ugly to go around with a cup like thing stuck on there.
I suddenly feel that I might have posted about this before but I never shared any pics 🤔
If I were to buy this online it'd have cost me what's equivalent to $140 and it'd still need adjustments and a carpenter to make room for the joystick. I found this material at a book store and it cost $3.50 lol that's it I drew the cutting pattern with the help of someone after doing some research online then this fiberglass guy (not even a carpenter but he had the right tools) cut it for me and refused to get paid, he was a very cool dude.
