Is this RebelTV a real person? Not sure what you mean by "real or fake" Do you mean, he does pranks that feel like they are planned in advance?

I've seen several Nelk Boys videos and those guys do pranks that are for real. Matter of fact, they got arrested for real in a prank video, because of a really stupid prank they did. Had something to do with wearing a white apron with blood all over it, and walking into a Target store. It's probably still up, but I think that was a stupid prank to even try.

If it's something like Impractical Jokers, the prank on the person is real, but there are people telling the other guy what to say and do. It comes off as fake to the TV viewer, but during filming nothing seems fake until the prank is revealed. Now if it's 5 friends who are recording pranks and all of it is planned ahead of time, then you can say they are shooting a movie. Not a blockbuster movie or something, just a video recording.

That's like when people say wresting is fake for example. I think what they mean to say is this: Wrestling is planned ahead of time. The winner and loser are already known. But for a person to fall on their back thousands of times, that is not fake, even though the move itself has been practiced, accidents can still happen. Because if you fall wrong, you can injure yourself, and well a real injury is not fake. They have faked injuries before yes. But you can usually tell when something not planned happens, everything just kind of stops.

@somebodyonline Fake pranks have been going on since the days of Candid Camera in 1948. Not sure how or why people come up with these ideas to prank people, but they do.

I don't mind pranks if it's just something small and funny, and not too outlandish.
@twiigss yeah but if you're doing stuff with strangers then it should all be real no actors or etc

@somebodyonline It is real, up to a certain point. So first off you need cameras set up. Usually, the cameras that are set up, are stationary, non-moving cameras. If there is a camera moving, it is further away from where the prank will be, but it will be zoomed in, so that it seems closer than what it is. Next, the person who wants to do the prank does it, typically on an unsuspecting stranger.

The stranger believes at that moment that everything currently happening is for real. Once the prank is completed, they are then told, "hey this was just a prank", and generally everyone has a good laugh about it. You do need people who are going to perform the prank perform it, otherwise it's not really a prank, because it has to be thought out. But that doesn't mean it's not real.
