This reminds me of Kane. He was returned to his breeder because the family who bought him felt he was just too high maintenance and wrote out this long list of things his next family should be prepared for. My husband knew the breeder’s father who told him they were looking for someone to give him to so we went and heard the whole story and brought him home. And the only thing we carried on was the food for his sensitive tummy. Never saw evidence of a single other thing on that list. Hopefully Daisy found a better fit as well. 👍

@JustNik We had a similar experience . We got a mastiff from the pound. We were told she had escaped so many times her first owner let the pound keep her . And the second owners said she kept running off and was impossible to catch .
We got her after an operation on 'cysts' she had all over her back leg ....which to me looked exactly like shotgun spread😒😠
We only ever lost her three times in the first few weeks . Twice , as soon as she heard our ute , she came running up, and the third we found her sitting at the back fence trying to get back in the hole she'd busted out of.
After that ....she never ran off again . She did like to sit out in the front garden and watch the world go by .
Admittedly, she came with severe.aggression issues over food ....and she froze when she was given affection, with a look of confised panic on her eyes .
But she was an absolute doll after we rehabilitated her . Wonderful with our kids, and pushy for cuddles 🤗.
She really wasn't what others had said she was ....sje just knew she deserved better .
Half the time I thinks it's the owners , not the dog , that have the 'issues'.

Aww I still like her.

@JimboSaturn Yes, I imagine it was just a case of incompatibility. 😄
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard I would keep her, she would fit into my house of misfits.

Well, maybe. While I've known some dogs that I found it impossible to 'like', I do hope Daisy finds a person who forgives her 'quirks'. 🙂

@Dino11 That’s what she looks like, but they’re usually very pleasant.

@bijouxbroussard She could have been mistreated.
