This is what AI thinks I look like...

Yuck! I promise you, my nose does NOT look like that. But it thinks I have better hair than I do. Look at those curls at the end! It's cute. I should start doing that.

The AI I used is called DALL-E-2. There used to be a wait list, but I created a free account yesterday and got immediate access. You can generate a new picture using words, or upload an existing picture and then it generates a "similar" picture for you.

Ironically, this makes me kind of happy to look at this homelier version of myself. I have all kinds of self-esteem issues about my appearance. But I KNOW I don't look like that.

I also tried uploading a shutterstock image just to see what it would do with it, and I got back this atrocity.


So far, AI seems pretty cool for surreal pictures or dreamlike scenes. I'm having fun playing around with it. But some of what it spits out, yikes.
