A couple of points (and I admit I could be wrong there 🙂):
- the picture shows a bedroom decorated with sports team memorabilia (Pittsburgh Steelers?)
- nothing in the picture or the caption suggests the gender of the child
- one of the earlier comments assumed it's a boy's room, and that assumption stuck
- my own comment doesn't say a word about the sexual orientation of the child; I was simply questioning the earlier assumption and the statement in the picture

@imLobo Where you may be right is the assumption on the gender, given the background of the post author. I missed that part of the context earlier.
What I still don't buy is labels, stereotypes and generalizations, and this is what I was questioning in my responses :-)

But this is not what we're arguing about.
The single fact that the room is overdone _from an adult's point of view_ (which is, BTW, very different for a teenager) says nothing about the gender or the sexual orientation, and this is the point I'm trying to make.

@imLobo Hmm, this is an interesting aspect, I haven't thought about the self-denial / overcompensation aspect of it...
I admit the validity of the original post from that point of view.
But only under the assumption that it's a boy's room :-)
