Everyone is blind leading the blind and once in a while they pretend to be clever and correct.
Everyone thinks they are the master of the universe, and no one else and nothing else is even close to equal. They feel infallible. And when the truth of their ridiculous notions shines through and their distractions and denials do not work, their worlds shatter and suddenly they start weaving all sorts of new stories. To preserve their vulnerable self proclaimed importance.
