Sometimes I feel like being silly
Most people don’t find me funny at all. I’m not comfortable trying to joke around with most anyway. There are very few I can act like an idiot around. For kicks, of course. I’m accidentally an idiot often enough. It’s not the same thing.
I feel responsible for too many people in my life. It’s not fun being silly with people who rely on me for whatever. And some people take it the wrong way or take it as permission to treat me differently. Oh well.
“I wonder if God thinks I’m funny.”
“You know how a little kid learns a joke, and tells you it over and over?” my sister asked me.
“Yeah…”
“I think how we feel about that is how God feels about our jokes.”
Fair enough. I thought that was funny. 🤭
