so, does anyone else laugh hysterically at the drug commercials that go on and on about the side effects that their drug may have on you?

The first time I heard similar was a lawyer’s commercial. I’ll never forget it was a medication I was on off label. I was doing my nails and heard, “have you tried to commit suicide since taking..” I was like, what did they just say??

I was taking it for nerve damage. It was given for depression or anxiety.

@MellyMel22 i always think about Robin Williams. they say the stuff he was on caused thoughts of suicide and depression

@LILY61 Sadly many do. My friend took her life b/c of meds she was given that shouldn’t have been mixed.

@MellyMel22 i am sorry. that is terrible. i almost got murdered at the hospital where i was having tests done. they prescribed an ointment and a pill. luckily the pharmacist noticed and went nuts over it. he couldn't believe that his hospital would prescribe two different meds with the same pain killer/muscle relaxant in them. he said i would have died.

@LILY61 I think it was more so for those taking it for anxiety or depression.

Wow, that’s really incompetent. And horrible. Luckily the pharmacist caught it. I’m glad you’re okay.

My pharmacist freaked years ago when my neuro prescribed a sleeping med that as he described was too strong for a man 3xs my size 🤣 I don’t fall asleep easily, even still. But I was careful and started w/lower than that Dr suggested.
