No sh*t, Sherlock?!

I've always found it odd when people say this. I see women on dating apps include this on their profiles all the time. "I love to laugh!" Okay, so your point is...

You're a normal human being?

You're mentally stable?

Saying "I love to laugh" is like saying "I breathe oxygen." I literally have never met a single person who doesn't love to laugh. We all have a different sense of humor and find some things funny and some things not, but who doesn't love to laugh? Is there anyone in the world who hates laughing and prefers crying?

Sometimes I want to reply to these people and say, "Wow, that's so crazy! I'd much rather be depressed and cry all the time."

I think it's more to show that a sense of humour is important for them in a romantic partner. Granted, humour is subjective, but you get some people with no real wit or charm.

@basilfawlty89 Thankfully, I've never met any of these women. Even my horrible ex had a good sense of humor; that's one of the reasons I was attracted to her.
