Religious education

I have a reputation at school for giggling too much and 'occasionally being silly', which can get me into trouble 馃檮 In year 9 we were discussing the Ascension in RE and for some reason I had a vision of old stage machinery going wrong and Jesus bouncing up and down between heaven and earth while God tried to sort stuff out 馃槀 My sudden outburst of laughter earned me detention, lines and a lecture about respecting other people's faiths 馃槦

You got detention for laughing? I bet they didn't even bother to ask why you were laughing.
Try not to let this effect you, there's nothing wrong at all with being silly or laughing.
Sure, there are times when it would be really inappropriate (like at a funeral) but they overreacted a lot here.

@FindTheBlue The teacher who told me off doesn't have a great sense of humour, so not really worth trying to explain. When you've got a reputation for silliness it's kind of difficult to shake off 馃槙

Similar kinda thing happens to me, at least recently we've had to wear masks in class so that covers it up a little when I'm giggling to myself馃槅
