I Am Prone to Inappropriate Laughter

Once when I was in the upper year of the junior school we had a teacher was trying to teach us and as she made a point her dentures dropped out onto the desk in front of me. I laughed like a drain - I really couldn’t help it. The teacher was both mad with me and embarrassed for herself and to cover up hauled me out of the desk and over her knee where she gave me a few resounding smacks on my bum. Then I was banished to the corner for a few minutes which seemed like hours.
In spite of that and a stinging bum I still had a job stopping giggling. In fact I laugh every time I think about it! 😁
Inadvertent slapstick comedy. She should have just smiled and enjoyed the obvious joke.

When I did things of that sort in front of a lecture-hall full of required to be there students, I laughed and told the story of how one of my teachers handled getting lost in a proof. He would just give up, formulating the theorem to be proved and then ASSIGN it as homework with the joke comment "extra credit if you remember where I got lost!"

That was funny I guess when you look at your teacher
However not nice in front of the class
But I wouldn’t be able to resist as well so I can understand you

@purplepen Yes. You don't see dentures as often today. More people keep more of their teeth for longer.
