I Am Prone to Inappropriate Laughter

i actually laughed during my grand aunt's funeral. i was sitting there among other relatives who were mourning, and then i heard my 7 year old cousin tell another young cousin "isn't the lady who died the fat one who always fills my face with spit when she kisses me?" and i tried my hardest to stifle the laughter. It was just so awkward to hear this among all the people crying 😂

Funerals are too sad. Having a laugh isn't disrespectful.

His comments might have been inappropriate to the adults gathered for a solemn occasion, but that's what children do and why we love them so much. XD

I started laughing at my grandfather's funeral. The minister leading the service had a truly terrible singing voice (monotone and raucous) and forgot to turn off his radio mic for the hymns. His painful singing drowned out everyone else.
Children's perceptions during such a time can be well, amusing. Assuming your aunt had a sense of humor in life, she surely would not have minded a chuckle. 😇

@bijouxbroussard Exactly. Children most often have no filter and often say the funniest things at the most inappropriate times.
