I Love a Good Laugh

(Funnier in person than writing about it.)

So the other night I am talking with a friend who is single and looking to date. He tells me he went to a yard sale in his community and was looking over a table and saw a really attractive woman across the table looking at shoes. She picks up a pair, squeals and says "I love these shoes, what do you think?"
Now being male he is not into shoes at all, but since he wants the chance to talk to her he tries to come up with a great sounding line. Instead, it comes out like this:
"Well I don't know about the shoes, but I would like the foot that goes into the shoe," complete with a little wink.
Her smile faded and she said, "A foot? Like one detached and stuck in the shoe?"
He scrambles and says, "Oh no, I meant your foot or rather your feet must be nice, even though I can't see them and really I am not a fan of feet in or out of shoes..."
While he is rambling like a madman she slowly moves away and gets into her car, lol. I said A FOOT? You sound like a cannibal or something, what on earth were you thinking?
He said, I really don't know.
