Positive update on the butterfly I was taking care of

Wasn't sure he was gonna make it through the night while I was gone. I fed him sugar water yesterday and thankfully the spider didn't bite him, so I only had to untangle the web.
But he wasn't really doing much moving.
Today I came home and he was smacking himself against his enclosure.
So I tested his wings in my room and it's a bit rough.
His wings also are very messed up but I guess they work enough so he was able to move them properly.

So I took him outside and he sat on my finger for about two minutes while he warmed up his wings. Then he took off and was gone 😊

Also I found a new pet.

I remember I once had to kill a black widow spider because it was going to kill the bug my son needed for science class.

@CSYLFM They can be a bit much anyways. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I do like spiders, but I recently killed some widows. There is this area where there is an infestation and they literally crawl on the ground and you walk through them and eeek
