This is just another joke:

On July 3rd a man walks into a hardware store looking to purchase a skill saw. He sees one that he likes, and the price was $199.99. He then sees a sign, 4 of July sale, 20% off of all purchases. So, he waits till the next day, on the 4th of July to go purchase it.

He goes the next day to the hardware store to purchase his skill saw at a 20% discount only to find out the price is now $239.99.

So, he asked an employee, "what kind of bargain is this?" He said, "yesterday it was 20% off of $199.99 and today it's $239.99."

The employee replies, "it's called inflation, you should have purchased it yesterday."
That's called dishonest business practices and actually illegal in many states, the shopper should report the store.
