I'm sure this is an accurate portrayal of it. Every woman just secretly hated her husband, and then birth control and feminism came along and saved the day, creating the joyful single kidless women we see all around us, who are evidently so much happier.
Cause y'know, every married older woman with kids who go to church on sunday is always frowning, complaining about life, while all the kidless single women just can't wait to give you candy for holding the door open for them (because they are filled with such joy).
Oooh, you mean it's literally the other way around? All the married women with kids I'v ever met are like waiting to call me darling and sweetie pie and give me candy, whle all the kidless single women literally complain about being told to smile more? Damn.
