Do men ever tire of seeing images of women with “perfect” bodies?

As a woman, seeing pictures of conventionally attractive men gets old. Same staged, muscular look. Boring.

Or perhaps I’m at that age of decomposition where the superficial has fallen into the category of useless.

I might be in the minority of men about this, but for what it's worth, this is how I react.

To me, the most exciting thing about sex is that I am experiencing an intimate connection with someone who does NOT show that side of herself to anyone else. (I am in a monogamous relationship. But if I were not, I would still say that the excitement is experiencing a side of her that she does not routinely display to everyone.)

On the other hand, pictures of "sexy models" are pictures of women who are being presented as being defined in terms of their sexuality, and thus there is absolutely nothing intimate about the thought of being with them. The images create the illusion that they are "like that" all the time, and yes that gets old for me.

I never understood men whose fantasy is to have sex with a porn star. Why would I want to be just a footnote to her sex life?

I know many men will disagree. I once responded to a thread here with a comment similar to this one, and a man responded, "yeah, DrWatson, but we all know you're a nerd!" 😂
