The word stalker is use too loosely?

Lol I have been called a stalker for viewing stories on Instagram and viewing pics and messaging them. Lol. This is crazy

A guy texting a woman when she didn't want texts from him "You're being a stalker."
Uh.

Plus I've seen it said about a person looking at [b] public [/b] posts intended to be seen by everyone.

Yes, it does happen. I don't mean to come out with just a flippant statement like that one, but it does. Today I was called a troll and blocked just someone else disagreed with me at my own posting and then at another's. They start to use those kind of negative words as a defence for their own unwillingness to accept that there's also a different way to look at the situation except for theirs. Somehow amongst the alternative facts these days there's that too
