GPS be damned. This is how you give directions

Heard someone say that when they were pregnant her car broke down and she needed help, she had a child with her too. Finally a car with 4 guys stopped and they asked her for directions for some place. Didn’t offer to help her in any way. So she gave them the wrong directions and sent them many miles in the opposite direction.

that is always the best way.

where i grew up, we would say turn at the gas station that is caddie corner from the liquor store....this was every corner of the down town area

It's when you're a stranger in the area and directions include "When you see ol' lady Peabody with her umbrella on the corner - the one by where the Hojo's used to be....
