Why are some people acting like with this merge of spanish speaking people

That the property value is suddenly going down at sw land ?

Some of you are acting like a bunch of elderly people in a gated community in Florida afraid of your new Spanish speaking neighbors ...

I'm seeing very few of the new folks, probably because of the way I set my feed. But I get your point. People started reacting negatively almost as soon as the merger was announced. It's entirely possible that at least some of the newcomers speak English as well as Spanish and will realize they need to communicate in the common language here to more fully participate in the site. Or maybe not. I guess we'll find out.
