Why are some people acting like with this merge of spanish speaking people

Some of you are acting like a bunch of elderly people in a gated community in Florida afraid of your new Spanish speaking neighbors ...

Not really. Some people are concerned because they joined a site initially where they knew they spoke the language. As long as the majority of posts are in the language they speak, they can continue to participate. There have always been posters who speak other languages here, and no one has been shut out. But if this site somehow becomes majority Spanish speaking, a lot of people who have been here for years would be excluded. What about that don’t you understand ?
