One guy copies out loads of verses from the Bible, claiming we are going to fry in hell.
I’ve suggested he does voluntary work, like work in a night shelter, support an hospice, distribute in a food bank, or join the Samaritans.
To which he just deletes what I say.
On a totally different topic, someone said they had never heard of Andy Burnham. Facetiously,I wrote ‘I thought he was part of the cast of Coronation Street, playing Ken Barlow or Albert Tatlock.’ Clearly my humour is not appreciated.
Seriously though, none of us know what Burnham stands for. And the Gospel is about Grace, not condemning others.
I don't think a joke about a British soap opera mentioning characters who have not been in it for a long time was likely to travel well between continents and generations. He had never hear of them any more than he had Andy Burnham.
@peterlee I'm afraid it is you who doesn't understand as Christianity is Not about spreading the Love of God. Even though they are related I think you might be talking about evangelism.
@CurrentName In his second letter, John reminds us to walk in Truth and Love
In my own life, I ask constantly whether I’m allowing God’s Word to shape my actions and decisions, through mediating on His Word, prayer and being guided by the Holy Spirit
Again , I ask are my relationships marked by patience, kindness, and willingness to serve others.
By doing this we demonstrate the fullness of the Gospel to the world.we spread God’s love.
